KRYSTAL DMS - Enterprise Edition Version 6.0 is released.

Primeleaf Consulting today announces the availability of the new and improved KRYSTAL DMS - Enterprise Edition Version 6.0 that promises the latest and cutting edge document management features while still being simple and affordable.

Each new release of KRYSTAL DMS brings new features and product improvements. KRYSTAL DMS - Edition Enterprise offers all benefits of Standard Edition with significant additional features that go a long way in document and business process management(electronic workflow) for medium to large businesses.

KRYSTAL DMS - Edition Enterprise 6.0 has a lot of new features and improvements that makes it more user-friendly, intuitive and speedy. This version was developed after carefully carrying out detailed research, handling various surveys and asking the customers what they want.

Improvements and features added

NEW - OCR Engine for Full Text Searching

KRYSTAL DMS - Edition Enterprise 6.0 is now equipped with OCR Engine that allows users to perform searches on the full text of the scanned documents. It also supports documents in JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF and GIF formats for full text.

So the plus side to this OCR engine provides users the ability to search their documents faster, spend less time indexing files and allows for easier organization of all files into the electronic file cabinets contained within KRYSTAL DMS - Enterprise Edition

NEW - Document Expiry & Notifications

Administrators can now define default expiry period on each document class. Users are allowed to define expiry on each document. Users can subscribe to get notification on expiring documents in advance.

NEW - Document Tags

Document Tags are labels that users can add on documents to help them describe documents. Unlike subjects in the metadata of the document, users don't have to choose tags in a closed list. Users are free to apply the labels(tags) that describe the document best. Users can now use the tag cloud feature to find all documents that have the same tags.

Enhanced - Document Security

Document classes can now be defined for public access or can be restricted to user level. Users can view only view documents created by themselves if the class is defined with User level restrictions.

Administrator can also define users to have restricted search and view access or full search and view access.

Enhanced - Document Search

Users can now also search documents basis, expiration date along with filters such as empty index or non-empty indexes.

NEW & Enhanced - User Interface

Innovative User Interface features allowing greater control and efficiency when working with documents.

NEW & Enhanced - Browser Support

The following browsers are supported in KRYSTAL DMS - Enterprise Edition Version 6.0 :

• Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x (32 bit and 64 bit)
• Mozilla FireFox 14.0 and above
• Google Chrome 10.x and above
• Safari 5.1 (Tested on Windows & Mac both)
